Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Penang seeks an experienced engineer to coordinate and supervise project activities in the assembly and integration phase of R&D projects, ensuring targets are met.

You will lead a team of Process Development Engineers and Technicians, plan workflows for maximum productivity, and provide technical support across production and other departments, contributing to successful mass production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of working experience in the related field.
• Experience with R&D or New Product Introduction (NPI) in LED/ Semiconductor Assembly environment
• Knowledge of 6 Sigma methodology and process qualification is an added advantage

Responsibilities

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Coordinates and supervises all project activities and operations in assembly process/ integration phase of R&D projects. Sets up or manages the projects. Agrees on targets, including set-up and monitoring results.
• Coordinate a team of Process Development Engineers and Support Technicians to execute & monitor activities from process development to product realization and subsequently leading to successful mass volume production.
• Plans and administers work, ensuring maximum productivity and cost efficiency from development to product realization.
• Responsible for processes and technical support to production, marketing, sales and/or other departments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for senior position.
• Experience with R&D or New Product Introduction (NPI) in LED/ Semiconductor Assembly environment
• Highly motivated with strong sense of responsibility & commitment towards work.
• A self-starter and independent.
• 8D, Reporting and Presentation skill is a must
• Experience working in semiconductors industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of 6 sigma methodology, Process control and qualification is an added advantage.
