Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a project-driven engineer to lead product development efforts from development to mass production in Malaysia. You will coordinate engineering builds, monitor yields, and ensure BOM, line readiness and proper documentation are aligned for scale-up.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 2 years in the semiconductor sector; knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development is essential, with manufacturing experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related working experience in semiconductor industry.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience in Product Development processes.
• Good knowledge of Semiconductor Product Development and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects in transferring from product development phase to high volume manufacturing phase.
• Coordinates engineering builds, test run builds & monitors the yield to meet project objectives.
• Lead in ensuring BOM setup, line steering readiness, production system readiness & proper documentation readiness for mass production.
• Prepare periodical report for stakeholders on the project status.
