HP in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Product Engineer to own the form, fit and function of HP Print-heads and drive engineering resolutions to manufacturing issues. You will implement a strong Product Quality System across the value chain and lead Product Qualification/Change Management.

You will work with R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions, identify risks, and determine tests to meet end-customer needs, while driving quality, yield and cost improvements across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 2–4 years of work experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies and environment, preferably in high-volume electronics manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and process control knowledge.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own the form, fit and function of HP Print-heads and drive engineering resolutions to product/manufacturing issues.
• Implement a strong Product Quality System across the value chain and drive Product Qualification/Change Management processes.
• Coordinate with R&D and Product Development for New Product Introductions and extensions.
• Identify risks early and determine tests to characterize products to meet end-customer needs, including NUDs.
• Drive Product Qualification processes and maintain high manufacturing quality and yield.
• Collaborate across HP value chains (Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Tech Support, Production) to improve line productivity, yield and quality.
• Develop and deliver solutions to simplify processes and drive cost reductions.

Position Summary:

• You will own the form, fit and function of HP Print-heads and will provide engineering resolutions to product/manufacturing issues.
• You will implement a strong Product Quality System across the value chain, driving Product Qualification/ChangeManagement processes.

What a Product Engineer does in HP:

• Provide resolution and implement engineering solution to product/manufacturing issue
• Engage R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions and Extensions
• Identify the risks early in the program and determine the test methods needed to characterize the product to ensure we meet the end-customer needs. This is especially true in any product or process NUD’s
• Throughout the program, characterize the product to ensure we understand the risks and what it would take to address the risks
• Drive Product Qualification processes
• Drive and implement strong Product Quality System
• Own the form, fit and function of HP Printhead and drive Change Management
• Engage and drive solutions across HP value chains team such as Process Engineering, Supply Chain, TechSupport as well as Production, to improve Manufacturing Line Productivity, Yield and Quality
• Conceptualize, Develop and Deliver solutions to simplify Processes and deliver Cost Reduction out of the Operations

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Material Engineering.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience.
• Possess good understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies and environment, preferably have the experience working in a fast pace andhigh volumeelectronics product manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and organization skills
• Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Project Management skills
• Good Understanding of Quality Assurance & Process Control Knowledge
• Excellent team player, interpersonal and communication skill
• Able to work well under Stress, both internally and across functions
• Fast learner, Proactive and Self driven character
• Technically inclined and Hands-on personality
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
