Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Malaysia in Bayan Lepas is seeking a Product Development Manufacturing Staff Engineer to drive the transition from product development to high-volume manufacturing, coordinating builds and monitoring yield to meet project objectives.

You will ensure BOM setup, line steering readiness, production system readiness and proper documentation for mass production, and you will prepare periodic project status reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electromechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Physics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related working experience in semiconductor industry.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development projects in transferring from product development phase to high volume manufacturing phase.
• Coordinates engineering builds, test run builds & monitors the yield to meet project objectives
• Lead in ensuring BOM setup, line steering readiness, production system readiness & proper documentation readiness for mass production
• Prepare periodical report for stakeholders on the project status

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electromechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Physics or equivalent
