Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a competent engineer to lead product development projects from concept to high-volume manufacturing. You will coordinate engineering builds, test runs, and monitor yield to ensure objectives are met, while ensuring BOM setup and production system readiness for mass production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 2 years in the semiconductor industry, with knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes.

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Lead product development projects in transferring from product development phase to high volume manufacturing phase.
• Coordinates engineering builds, test run builds & monitors the yield to meet project objectives
• Lead in ensuring BOM setup, line steering readiness, production system readiness & proper documentation readiness for mass production
• Prepare periodical report for stakeholders on the project status

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electromechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Physics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related working experience in semiconductor industry.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is an advantage.
• Experience in Product Development processes.
• Good knowledge of Semiconductor Product Development and Manufacturing.
