Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan & Perundingcara Bright Prospect Sdn Bhd is seeking a Product Development Engineer (Manufacturing) to drive R&D of new technologies and product improvements, and to develop and test prototype designs.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement and Marketing to ensure smooth development cycles, conduct analyses and validation testing, maintain design documentation, and support troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2-3 years of design experience; customer site visits advantageous.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Research and development of new technologies or product improvements.

Product Development Engineer (Manufacturing)

This is a Design & Technical role focused on research, design and development of new technologies and product improvements.

Key responsibilities

Conduct research, design and development of new technologies or product improvements

Develop and test prototype designs, ensuring feasibility, functionality and reliability

Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth project implementation and design technical alignment

Perform engineering analysis, simulations and validation testing to support product development

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance and manufacturability

Ensure all designs and site works comply with relevant standards, regulations and project specifications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Procurement, and Marketing) to ensure smooth product development cycle

Identify and evaluate new materials, components, and technologies to improve product performance and cost efficiency

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports and development records

Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for product issues or failures

To be successful in this role:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 2 to 3 years and above of experience in design and customer site visit will be an advantages.

Fresh graduates with relevant internship or project experience are encouraged to apply.

Proficient in AutoCAD or other design software is an advantage.
