Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Technical Purchasing for semiconductor equipment. You will lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier onboarding.

You will oversee site procurement for indirect materials, negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and collaborate with QA to mitigate shortages. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and favors 4–6 years of sourcing experience with a semiconductor background.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience handling end-to-end purchasing, commercial negotiation, and supplier oversight cycles.
• Work background within manufacturing sectors, with preference given to semiconductor or technology environments.
• Direct experience or foundational understanding of purchasing back‑end semiconductor equipment (Bonders, Mold, Trim & Form, or Testers) and factory automation systems is highly advantageous.
• Practical knowledge of contract frameworks, including master service agreements, statements of work, and vendor performance monitoring metrics.
• Proficient capabilities navigating tier‑one cloud procurement technologies and generating operational spend data assessments.
• Collaborative communication capabilities to align with multi‑tiered supplier networks and resolve operational escalations with global partners.

• Execute site‑specific procurement activities, supplier identification strategies, and contract management processes for indirect material categories.
• Oversee commercial procurement pipelines for complex semiconductor equipment, including Die Bonders, Wire Bonders, Mold systems, Trim & Form equipment, Testing Machines, and advanced factory automation systems.
• Spearhead commercial negotiations to achieve continuous cost‑efficiency targets and oversee complex vendor contract frameworks.
• Supervise supplier operational execution, manage delivery performance metrics, and coordinate cross‑functional mitigation strategies for material shortages.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to handle vendor non‑compliance issues and manage the comprehensive onboarding process.
• Administer compliance workflows, facilitate internal process assessments, and maintain strict adherence to ethical procurement standards.
