SINLEN INTERNATIONAL ELECTRONICS SDN. BHD in Penang is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source and manage electronic components globally. You will conduct RFQs, negotiate prices, and oversee end-to-end purchasing, including PO creation and delivery follow-up.
You will coordinate with logistics, monitor market trends, handle quality issues, and maintain procurement data in ERP system. Fluency in Chinese and English is required.
This is a Procurement Specialist role focused on sourcing and managing electronic components. You will source and develop new suppliers locally and globally, conduct price negotiations, manage the end-to-end purchasing process, and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely stock arrival. You will also monitor market trends, handle quality issues, and provide proactive procurement strategies.
Key responsibilities
Source and develop new suppliers (manufacturers, authorized distributors, brokers, and spot markets) locally and globally
Conduct RFQ, price negotiation, and cost analysis for electronic components
Manage end-to-end purchasing process (PO creation, order tracking, delivery follow-up)
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely stock arrival
Handle quality issues, delivery delays, returns, and replacements
Monitor market trends, EOL (End-of-Life) notices, and lead time changes; provide proactive procurement strategies
Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP system and prepare regular reports
About you
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Minimum 1–2 years of procurement/purchasing experience; electronic components industry experience is a strong plus (Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome)
Basic knowledge of electronic components (part number recognition, package types, major brands) is an advantage
Familiar with supplier networks in Malaysia and Asia (China/Taiwan/Singapore/Japan) is preferred
Strong negotiation, communication, and cost-control skills
Proficient in MS Office; ERP experience is a plus
Fluent in Chinese and English (both written and spoken) for effective communication with international suppliers; BM is an advantage
Detail-oriented, responsible, able to work independently and under pressure
Must have valid work status in Malaysia
