Icon Sunsuria Sdn Bhd is seeking a Pharmacy Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager to oversee daily purchasing and distribution operations within our healthcare facilities.
You will source drugs, consumables, and medical equipment at optimal prices, negotiate vendor contracts for cost savings, and ensure GDP compliance with NPRA licenses while maintaining stock availability and minimizing waste.
Oversees the daily operations of purchasing and distribution
Oversees drugs, consumables and/or medical equipment orders for the Group
Sourcing of drugs, consumables and/or medical equipment at the best possible price.
Negotiate and establish contracts with vendors to obtain maximal cost savings
Manage expectations and responsible for supply chain continuity between suppliers and clinics in terms of stock inventory flow and stock transfers. Work closely on alternate sources and drugs when usual sources have supply issues to ensure continuity of critical supplies or alternate products availability.
Ensure that purchase requisitions / requests are processed in a timely manner and must be fulfilled on time in order not to affect patient’s treatment plan.
To keep inventory at optimal levels to achieve optimal stock availability, minimize overstocking and avoid wastages
Ensure that vendor evaluation is conducted to establish legitimacy
Liaise with vendors to return and/or exchange any defective and/or expired goods.
Maintain the poison import and wholesale licenses for the warehouse with NPRA and ensure Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliance.
Ensure the business compliance with regulations bodies and requirements such as NPRA, KKM (MOH) and other related governing bodies
Review the institutional drug formulary and evaluates new drug listings
Compilation of reports for management, reporting on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
Lead and assist in activities relating to inventory such as cycle count and stocktake, work closely with clinical and operations department as needed.
Handle audit queries in all related areas, stakeholder management at supporting site, and lead and motivate the team at site.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy with at least 3 years of related experience in a health care facility
Possess good organizational, analytical and excellent communication skills
Possess good initiative, drive and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in SAP (or equivalent materials management system), MS Office Applications - specifically Excel and Word.
