Job summary

Air Liquide Business Services Sdn Bhd (ALBS) in Kuala Lumpur leads strategic APAC procurement operations, overseeing the demand-to-pay process across regions. You will supervise a diverse team, ensure governance, and drive automation with Coupa and ERP systems.

The role requires 3–5 years in GBS/Shared Services or Procurement Operations, strong leadership, and fluency in English and Japanese. You will engage cross-functional partners to standardize processes and enhance audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Global Business Services/Shared Services or Procurement Operations environment with supervisory experience.
• Hands-on experience with e-Procurement and ERP systems (Coupa, Oracle/D365, Graphite Connect, or ServiceNow).
• Demonstrated success in leading and coaching multi-cultural, cross-regional teams.
• Process agility and willingness to adopt new digital enterprise tools and drive CI initiatives.
• Fluent in English and Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily procurement support operations, coach team members, optimize workloads, and lead seamless service transitions across APAC regions.
• Enforce procurement policies, track PO acknowledgments, manage aging POs, and maintain audit readiness.
• Manage intercompany and non-critical PRs, administer PO lifecycles, test punch-out catalogs, and resolve escalated P2P issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive P2P process standardization and guide CI initiatives.
• Manage daily user and supplier queries via ticketing system, providing troubleshooting and guidance on Coupa workflows.
• Conduct monthly user training, distribute procurement newsletters, publish guidelines, and communicate COI requirements.

The Procurement Operations Support Lead will lead and empower a dynamic, multi-cultural procurement support team, oversee daily Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations, ensure rigorous governance and compliance, and drive process automation. He/She will also play a key role in expanding our operational footprint across regional portfolios, including the Japan and Pacific markets.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Team Leadership & Regional Management

Supervise daily procurement support operations, coach team members, foster autonomy, optimize workloads, and lead seamless service transitions across APAC regions.

Governance & Compliance Surveillance

Enforce procurement policies (e.g., Split PR monitoring, catalog compliance), track PO acknowledgments, manage aging POs, and maintain continuous audit readiness.

P2P Transactional & System Support

Manage intercompany and non-critical PRs, administer PO lifecycles (soft/hard close, re-open), test punch-out catalogs, and resolve escalated P2P workflow issues.

Process Automation & Continuous Improvement

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive P2P process standardization, advocate for new digital tool adoption, and guide specialists in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

P2P Helpdesk Management

Manage daily user and supplier queries via the myProc/POS ticketing system, providing prompt troubleshooting and guidance on Coupa workflows.

Stakeholder Training & Communication

Conduct monthly "Back-to-Basic" user training, distribute procurement newsletters, publish ticketing guidelines, and manage annual Conflict of Interest (COI) communications.

Are you a MATCH?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in a Global Business Services (GBS), Shared Services, or Procurement Operations environment, including a proven track record in a supervisory/team lead role.

System Proficiency

Hands-on experience with e-Procurement and ERP systems (specifically Coupa, Oracle / D365, Graphite Connect, or ServiceNow).

Leadership & People Management

Demonstrated success in leading and coaching multi-cultural, cross-regional teams with a focus on talent development, workload balance, and team well-being.

Process & Digital Agility

Proven ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments, adopt new digital enterprise tools, and drive continuous improvement.

Language Skills
