Job summary

Samurai 2K Aerosol Sdn Bhd, a leading aerosol coating specialist in Malaysia, is hiring a Procurement Officer to coordinate purchasing activities, monitor ISO 9001 compliance, and manage supplier relationships.

Your role includes negotiating terms, issuing POs, tracking deliveries, and maintaining purchasing records, with a focus on cost analyses and stock optimization. 1-year contract with benefits and career growth potential.

Qualifications

• At least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree /Postgraduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
• At least 1-3 year of working experience in procurement related domain is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill able to negotiate, good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
• Computer literate with email & MS Office skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• POs, tracking orders, deliveries: 2 years (Required)
• Handling ISO 9001: 2 years (Required)
• Negotiating with suppliers on price and terms: 2 years (Required)
• Supplier evaluation or worked with QC on audits: 2 years (Required)
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse: 2 years (Required)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities of the company
• Maintain effectiveness of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Compare and evaluate offers item / materials from suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Issue purchase orders and track delivery status, track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review quality of purchased products, coordinate with QC for supplier audits.
• Maintain updated / accurate records of purchasing records, eg :purchased products, delivery information, invoices and ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
• Source suppliers and negotiate prices, terms, and lead time.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved vendor list.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Coordinate purchasing activities of the company

EMPLOYEMENT TERMS:

This position will be offered on a 1-year contract basis initially.

Upon completion of the 1-year contract, the company will evaluate the employee’s performance and suitability before deciding whether to offer permanent employment.
