Job summary

Wonderply Wood Sdn Bhd in Miri, Sarawak, is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. This full-time role supports the acquisition of materials, equipment and services to keep operations running smoothly.

You will process requisitions, manage supplier data and assist with contracts and negotiations under senior staff guidance. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; business administration or supply chain courses are advantageous.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory roles, ideally in manufacturing, transport or logistics.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; procurement software experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders.
• Maintain supplier databases and performance records.
• Coordinate with suppliers to track deliveries and resolve delays.
• Assist in procurement contracts and negotiate terms under guidance.
• Conduct price comparisons and analyse supplier quotes.
• Support inventory management and monitor stock levels.
