Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a precision-minded Procurement Executive to manage the Machining supply chain at our Shah Alam facility. You will join a lean, high-impact team within a growing manufacturing environment, collaborating with a local team of 80 and reporting to the Procurement Manager.

Responsibilities include supplier onboarding, resource management, and RFQ leadership, with emphasis on cost optimization and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or up to 3 years of work experience are welcome.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/blueprints and engage with CNC/fabrication suppliers.
• Industry background in Solar, Semiconductor, or General Manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and onboard machining suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain.
• Manage supplier resources, capacity planning, and long-term relationships.
• Drive supplier performance by monitoring quality, delivery times, and service levels.
• Lead RFQ processes for machined parts, analyze costs, and negotiate prices.
• Analyze procurement cost structures to mitigate risks.
• Support departmental objectives and assist Procurement Manager as needed.

As we expand our footprint in Shah Alam, we are looking for a precision-minded Procurement Executive to manage our Machining supply chain. This is a key role within a lean, high-impact team of three, perfect for someone ready to thrive in a fast-growing, technical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Development: Identify, source, and onboard qualified machining suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain.
• Resource Management: Manage supplier resources, including capacity planning and long-term relationship management.
• Performance Monitoring: Drive supplier performance by monitoring and improving quality, delivery timelines, and overall service levels.
• Cost Optimization: Lead the RFQ process for machined parts, conduct detailed cost analysis, and execute price negotiations.
• Risk Mitigation: Analyze procurement cost structures and trends to identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Strategic Support: Support departmental objectives and handle additional tasks as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Requirements

• Education/Experience: Open to fresh grads or those with up to 3 years of working experience.
• Language Proficiency: While Maandaarin is an advantage, we are open to non-Maandaarin speakers provided you have at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Mechanical Drawings: The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints is strictly compulsory. You must be able to understand technical specs to engage with CNC and fabrication suppliers.
• Industry Background: Solar, Semiconductor, or General Manufacturing industries are highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Details

• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
• Location: Mutiara Subang, Shah Alam.
• Environment: A growing manufacturing plant with a collaborative local team of 80 (expanding soon!).
