Job summary

Adecco Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to support sourcing and external manufacturing procurement across Southeast Asia. You will manage supplier sourcing, contract management, compliance, and ensure supply continuity while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2–3 years in procurement, knowledge of SAP, and the ability to lead RFx processes and supplier evaluations in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Experience with external manufacturing or packaging sourcing is preferred.
• Knowledge of RFx processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

Procurement Executive (External Manufacturing)- Basic up to RM4000

We are looking for a Procurement Executive to support sourcing and procurement activities related to External Manufacturing operations across Southeast Asia. The role will be responsible for supplier sourcing, contract management, procurement compliance, supply continuity, and supporting procurement-driven initiatives and projects.This position works closely with procurement, supply planning, manufacturing, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure raw materials and packaging materials are procured at the right cost, quality, quantity, and timing.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Source and evaluate potential suppliers across Southeast Asia.
• Support and manage sourcing activities, including RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
• Negotiate new contracts and contract renewals with suppliers.
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Support supplier selection and commercial evaluations.

Supply & Operational Support

Ensure raw materials and packaging materials are supplied at the right:

• Price
• Quality
• Quantity
• Delivery timing

Work closely with Supply Planning teams to maintain supply continuity.

Resolve procurement and supply-related issues to prevent disruptions.

Project Management

• Support new product launches and packaging-related projects.
• Coordinate supplier samples and trial materials.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and project execution.
• Attend project meetings and provide procurement support.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Assist in implementing Source-to-Pay (STP) initiatives.
• Support procurement compliance and governance programs.
• Contribute to procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate effectively with Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, and other business stakeholders.
• Support alignment across functions and facilitate issue resolution and decision-making.
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in:

• Procurement
• Purchasing
• Manufacturing
• Supply Chain
• Commercial or related functions

FMCG industry experience is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
• Understanding of raw materials and packaging materials procurement.
• Experience with sourcing activities and RFx processes.
• Ability to interpret quotations and support supplier evaluations.
