Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Good understanding of sourcing processes and supplier communications.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Excel; able to work fast-paced environment.
• Ability to liaise with Chinese-speaking suppliers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply.
• Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, pricing, and availability.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and price info.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with planning, production, and logistics to align procurement.
• Resove supply issues such as delays or shortages.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with warehouse to maintain stock.
• Prepare procurement reports and support cost-control initiatives.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive/Coordinator to support the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination activities for PEPS Sanly JV Sdn Bhd. This role will assist in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for automotive manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple procurement tasks while maintaining good supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for raw materials, automotive parts, and indirect services.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely supply of goods in line with production needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers on order confirmations, lead times, pricing, and product availability.
• Maintain and update procurement records, supplier databases, and material pricing information.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement terms and company guidelines.
• Work closely with internal departments (planning, production, logistics, etc.) to align procurement with operational requirements.
• Assist in resolving supply issues such as delays, quality discrepancies, or shortages.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Prepare procurement reports and assist in cost control initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Good understanding of sourcing processes, purchasing cycles, and supplier communications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with procurement or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to speak Chinese is an added advantage to liaise with suppliers or HQ in China.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
