The role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of goods, services, and materials to support the company's operations while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) requirements. The role aims to deliver cost-effective, timely, and quality-assured sourcing that minimizes supply chain risks, upholds environmental sustainability standards, and contributes to continuous improvement of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QEMS).
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers that meet quality, environmental, delivery, and cost requirements in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Raise, track, and manage purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with approved requisitions, budgets, and delivery schedules
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and conditions; identify cost‑saving opportunities through volume consolidation, alternative sourcing, or process improvements while maintaining quality and environmental standards
- Monitor market prices and identify savings opportunities
- Collaborate with operations/warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, prevent stock‑outs of critical materials, and support just‑in‑time or planned replenishment where applicable
- Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, service, and environmental compliance; conduct regular performance reviews and drive corrective actions where required
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company's Quality and Environmental Management Systems, including supplier qualification, documentation control, environmental criteria in sourcing, and participation in internal/external audits
- Prepare, review, and maintain procurement contracts, purchase agreements, and related documentation in accordance with company policies and ISO requirements
- Identify and implement improvements in procurement processes, tools, and supplier collaboration to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support sustainability objectives
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain (CIPS, CSCP, or equivalent) is advantageous
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably within an SME or manufacturing/trading environment
- Hands‑on experience working under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 certified systems
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Negotiation and commercial acumen
- Procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management expertise
- Data analysis capability
- Experience in manufacturing or electronics industry (SME or MNC) is strongly preferred
