Job summary

Hirehub is seeking an experienced Procurement / Sourcing Executive to join our team. You will manage purchasing and sourcing activities for sheet metal materials, standard components, machining parts, and subcontracting services.

The role requires strong purchasing experience and a good understanding of manufacturing, technical, and engineering requirements, with responsibilities spanning supplier selection, BOM verification, and cost-saving initiatives to support production.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in purchasing/sourcing.
• Minimum 3 years in sheet metal or machining industry.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities for materials, parts, components, and related items.
• Source sheet metal materials, standard components, and machining parts.
• Ensure timely orders and adequate inventory for production needs.
• Maintain BOM accuracy, lead times, and pricing in the system.
• Identify and develop new suppliers to meet requirements.
• Ensure suppliers are registered and assessed per policy.
• Conduct supplier visits to monitor performance and contracts.
• Monitor costs, delivery schedules, and performance of subcontractors.
• Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvements.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports for management.
• Maintain and update SOPs, procedures, and job descriptions.

Job Description

• Plan and execute procurement activities for materials, parts, components, and related items.
• Source sheet metal materials, standard components, and machining parts.
• Ensure materials are ordered on time and available to meet production requirements while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
• Maintain and verify BOM accuracy, material lead times, and pricing in the system.
• Identify and develop new suppliers to meet company requirements.
• Ensure suppliers and contractors are properly registered and assessed according to company policies.
• Conduct supplier visits when required to monitor performance and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
• Monitor the cost, delivery schedule, and performance of major subcontractors.
• Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports and provide updates to Management.
• Maintain and update department SOPs, procedures, and job descriptions.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or above in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing / sourcing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the sheet metal or machining industry.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Good knowledge of technical and engineering requirements.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with internal departments and suppliers.

Salary Range: Up toRM6k; if senior level can be amend higher
