Job summary

Hirehub in Malaysia is seeking an experienced PROCUREMENT / SOURCING EXECUTIVE to manage purchasing for sheet metal materials and machining parts. You will source materials, ensure timely orders, and maintain BOM accuracy to support production.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing/sourcing, with sheet metal or machining experience, and strong English and negotiation skills. Location: Ulu Tiram, Johor. Salary up to RM6k monthly.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing/sourcing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the sheet metal or machining industry.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities for materials, parts, components, and related items.
• Source sheet metal materials, standard components, and machining parts.
• Ensure materials are ordered on time and available to meet production requirements with proper inventory levels.
• Maintain and verify BOM accuracy, material lead times, and pricing in the system.
• Identify and develop new suppliers to meet company requirements.
• Ensure suppliers and contractors are properly registered and assessed per policy.
• Conduct supplier visits to monitor performance and contractual obligations.
• Monitor cost, delivery schedule, and performance of major subcontractors.
• Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvement initiatives.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports and provide updates to Management.
• Maintain and update department SOPs, procedures, and job descriptions.
