Job summary

CNW Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. is expanding with a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia and is seeking 5 experienced Procurement Executives to join the team. You will help develop procurement processes, manage supplier relationships and source materials to support production.

This role involves negotiating terms, evaluating suppliers, supporting local and international sourcing, and assisting with cost-reduction initiatives to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiar with Excel; knowledge of import/export is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials and services for manufacturing.
• Support Sales Quote Process by costing projects.
• Prepare and maintain BOM costing.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers and manage critical supplies.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers.
• Support localization and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with departments for new product introduction.
• Monitor order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Conduct price comparisons and cost analyses.
• Other duties as assigned.

CNW Engineering Services Sdn. Bhd. is expanding its operations with the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Malaysia. As part of our business growth, we are looking for 5 experienced and motivated Procurement Executives to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established manufacturing operation, where you will play an important role in developing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, components, and services to support production requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Sourcing and procure of raw materials & services necessary for the manufacturing or trading of products or services

Support the Sales Quote Process by submitting Project Costing for new projects to individual Sales Engineers or their Managers for their final costing

Prepare and maintain product Bill of Materials (BOM) costing

Negotiate with existing &prospective suppliers for the best terms & conditions and maintain relationships on strategic or critical supplies

Evaluate existing suppliers as needed & Qualify New potential suppliers for their suitability and capabilities

Support localization programs and initiate cost-reduction activities set by the management from time to time or on a regular basis and to meet those targets

Work with various departments on the smooth kick-off of projects and NPI (New product introduction) such as procuring and buying initial lot to support new projects

Follow up on order confirmations and delivery schedules

Conduct price comparisons and cost analysis

Any other duties assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.

At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.

Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel,

Experience in managing and coordinating with both local and overseas suppliers.

Knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping arrangements will be an added advantage.

Relevant qualifications in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Good commercial awareness and cost-consciousness, with the ability to evaluate pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
