Job summary

IKA Works (Asia) Sdn Bhd – Rawang, Selangor is seeking a procurement professional to source PCBA components, raw materials and services from local and global suppliers. You will evaluate suppliers based on technical capability, cost and delivery timelines, and negotiate favorable terms.

The role requires reading PCBA schematics and mechanical drawings, knowledge of PCBA components and familiarity with SAP and MRP. Frequent travel is expected, with opportunities to contribute to cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in sourcing or procurement for PCBA/electrical/electronic parts.
• Able to read PCBA, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Good understanding of PCBA components and global supplier markets.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Willing to travel frequently.
• MRP knowledge and SAP familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and select electronic components, raw materials, and services from local and international suppliers.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers for PCBA components including PCBs, semiconductors, passive components, and mechanical parts.
• Process quotations and follow up with vendors for direct or indirect procurement.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost savings and supply reliability.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities and cost structure to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Notify supplier on Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and new drawing revision.
• Assist in vendor statistics report, forecast report, material cost analysis report, other reporting formats and update sourcing database.
• Assist in additional tasks upon request by superior.

Qualifications:

Understand in Material Planning Management (MRP) & familiar with SAP is an added advantage

Tasks:
