Air Products in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to operate ASU units, monitor process performance, adjust production, and ensure safe start-up and shutdown. The role requires shift work at the Pengerang site, compliance with BSP, safety rules, and collaboration with engineers and contractors for maintenance and turnarounds.

Candidates should hold a Technical Diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering or SPM with at least 2 years’ process plant experience, and basic computer

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• SPM (Vocational/Technical) with minimum 2 years' plant process experience.
• Computer literate with basic MS Windows and MS Office knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day start-up, shutdown, and capacity adjustments to optimize plant operation.
• Record readings, report abnormalities, and generate daily/monthly production reports for traceability.
• Ensure safety requirements are adhered to by everyone and operate per BSP definition; maintain safe plant operations.
• Issue Safe Work Permits when required and support SWP processes.
• Support maintenance, parts inventory, and plant turnaround activities; assist audits for ISO/FSMS standards.
