Job summary

Air Products is seeking a hands-on ASU Plant Operator in Pengerang, Malaysia, to safely operate and monitor day-to-day plant activities, including start‑up/shut‑down, production rate adjustments and quality assurance. You will perform shift work, record readings, generate production reports, and support maintenance, safety permits, and audits to ensure compliant, efficient plant operations on site.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in mechanical/chemical or SPM with minimum 2 years of process operation experience.
• Computer literate with basic MS Windows and MS Office knowledge.
• Safety minded and able to issue Safe Work Permits when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ASU units, including startup, shutdown, and process adjustments.
• Record plant readings, report abnormalities, and take corrective actions.
• Generate daily and monthly production reports for traceability.
• Support maintenance, parts inventory, and plant turnaround activities.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping, and participate in audits as required.
