The Role
The Process Technician is responsible for supporting Product / Process Engineers in daily production engineering activities, process setup, equipment and tooling preparation, process evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Product / Process Engineer for the following tasks:
Support daily engineering related activities in production floor.
MES implementation, execution and support.
New line setup. He / She must make sure the process flow chart, work instruction, process standard time, jigs and fixture and machine are readily prepared.
Perform setup / maintenance for the engineering equipment.
Perform engineering evaluation and report.
Equipment, Jig and Fixture Buyoff.
Process Standard Time verification.
Participate in Kaizen activities to achieve process improvement, cost reduction and yield improvement.
Perform any other duties assigned by engineers.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of working experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing, preferably in a production/process engineering environment.
Experience in motion/time study, work instruction preparation, jig and fixture setup and related process activities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Able to work independently, self-motivated, committed, result-oriented and a good team player.
Qualifications
Diploma / Certificate in Industrial/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
