Job summary

Inter Island Group in Tampoi, Johor Bahru, Johor is seeking a Process Technician – SMC to support production and process engineering activities. The successful candidate will maintain production machinery, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Fresh Diploma graduates are welcome to apply. Salary starts from RM2,200 per month, with negotiation for experienced candidates. Shift work is required at the Kampong Tampoi facility in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Experience in machine maintenance or electronics manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machine performance and document downtime and maintenance.
• Support engineers during builds and validation activities.
• Assist with line optimization and continuous improvement.

Job Description

We are seeking a Process Technician – SMC to support production and process engineering activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production machinery and equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep production machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
• Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues and carry out corrective actions.
• Monitor machine performance and record machine downtime.
• Maintain machine check sheets, maintenance records, and related reports.
• Update temperature profiles for SMC Reflow Oven.
• Support Process and Product Engineers during engineering builds and validation activities.
• Assist with machine optimization and line conversion activities.
• Monitor and maintain ESD wiring within the production area.
• Support continuous improvement and line rejection monitoring.
• Provide technical support to production operations.
• Participate in shift handovers and communicate machine or production-related issues.
• Follow established work instructions, procedures, and specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
