Job summary

Tech Staffing seeks a Process Mechanical Engineer for an industry-leading global automation company, based in Penang Mainland. You will drive operational efficiency for an assembly plant, applying Lean Six Sigma to optimize costs, yields and overall throughput.

You will collaborate with R&D, CM suppliers and manufacturing teams to transition designs to mass production, support NPI, DOE and validation activities, and lead cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring Quality and Safety standards are

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in process/mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Experience in automation including pick-and-place, material handling or robotics is desirable.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiency for the assembly plant.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to improve cost, yields and throughput.
• Improve SPC data, cycle time, throughput, quality and yields.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
• Coordinate with R&D and contract manufacturers to transfer designs to mass production.
• Track process yields and initiate improvement activities to meet efficiency targets.
• Engage in DOE, process validation and product validation activities.
• Identify value engineering and cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supplier and Manufacturing to implement QC plans, SPC, PFMEA, and CPK.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer for a well-structured, industry-leading global automation company with a strong international presence. This full-time position is based in Penang Mainland.

• Drive operational efficiency for products assembly plant
• Leverage Lean Six Sigma to drive continuous process improvements for cost savings, yields and maximising operational efficiency
• Improved SPC data, process cycle time, throughput metrics quality and yields
• Facilitate the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
• Coordinate with R&D Engineers and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to transition new designs into mass production environments
• Track process yield charts and initiate improvement activities to achieve efficiency targets
• Engage in DOE (Design of Experiments), process validation and product validation activities
• Identify and initiate value engineering cost reduction activities
• Collaborate with Quality, Supplier and Manufacturing teams to ensure implementation of Quality Control Plans, SPC, PFMEA, CPK and SPC
• Support EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) verification and ensure compliance with company safety requirements
• Conduct supplier audits

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience as Process Engineer/Process Mechanical Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer/Industrial Engineer
• Experience in automation industry (pick-and-place technologies, material handling, or robotic arms)
• Six Sigma Green Belt and above
• Process optimisation, process re-engineering, quality control, supplier audit background
