Job summary

Michael Page Malaysia seeks a Process Engineer to analyse manufacturing processes, lead Lean Six Sigma projects, and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives in a multinational manufacturing environment in Shah Alam. You will collaborate with engineering, R&D and operations to improve efficiency, safety and quality while developing SOPs and supporting automation and digitalisation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechatronics or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in process engineering or manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital manufacturing is an edge.
  • Familiarity with robotics and automation systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with CAD tools is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using PDCA, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement programs.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Support automation, robotics, and digitalization initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0.
  • Provide technical support for process troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Partner with engineering, R&D, and related teams during new product introductions and process changes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report process performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.

The Successful Applicant
