Job summary

Armstrong Technology Sdn. Bhd. (ATSB) is seeking an engineer to help translate drawings into manufacturable processes on the production floor, coordinating with Sales, Quality and Production to deliver cost-competitive solutions.

You will review drawings, plan trials, improve cycle time and yield, and investigate defects with Quality. Fresh graduates welcome; 3–5 years preferred; AI tools knowledge an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Analytical approach to data analysis and coordinating multiple priorities.
• Around 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates welcome.
• Manufacturing and ISO 13485 medical device experience advantageous; AI tools experience is also an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications; prepare quotation costing worksheets covering material usage, layout, yield, cycle time, and machine or tooling choices.
• Assess manufacturability and develop processes for new parts and customer projects.
• Plan trials, coordinate project schedules, and report progress, cost and performance against agreed targets.
• Improve cycle time, material yield, machine capability and throughput through practical process changes or automation proposals.
• Work with Quality to investigate defects, identify root causes and verify corrective actions.
• Support Sales with technical input and solutions for customer requirements.
