Job summary

Supercomal Medical Products Sdn Bhd. is seeking a Process Engineer in Sungai Petani, Kedah to design, optimise and improve manufacturing processes within our medical products facility.

You will drive efficiency, safety and quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with production, quality assurance and maintenance to implement changes, develop SOPs, validate processes and contribute to digitalization efforts across Excel/DHR systems and Power Platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in process engineering in manufacturing or medical devices.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in simulation software, CAD and data analysis.
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements for medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance product quality.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for manufacturing operations.
• Conduct process feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance and maintenance to implement process changes.
• Monitor KPIs to track process performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular process audits and validation activities for compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of process changes and outcomes.
• Support maintenance and improvement of Excel/DHR systems and digitalized processes.
• Assist in Microsoft Power Platform system development and maintenance.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join the engineering team at Supercomal Medical Products Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Sungai Petani, Kedah. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimising and improving manufacturing processes within our medical products facility. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our production operations run efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards. This position is instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the company's commitment to delivering excellence in medical product manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance product quality
• Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing operations
• Conduct process feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential improvements and mitigate operational risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance and maintenance to implement process changes
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify areas for enhancement
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to resolve process bottlenecks and quality concerns
• Conduct regular process audits and validation activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Maintain detailed records of process changes, improvements and outcomes for continuous learning and documentation purposes
• Support maintenance and improvement of production Excel/DHR systems. Support development testing, troubleshooting and documentation of digitalized process/QMS applications.
• Assist in Microsoft Power Platform system developement and maintenance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline) or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in process engineering, preferably within the medical devices, pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma
• Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools and data analysis applications
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Thorough understanding of quality management systems, regulatory compliance and industry standards relevant to medical device manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with process validation, risk assessment methodologies (such as FMEA) and statistical analysis is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards is preferred
