Entegris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Engineer (Injection Molding) to optimize manufacturing processes in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. You will design, implement and continuously improve injection molding operations to meet stringent quality standards and production targets.

You will analyze data, lead process optimization, support new product development, perform risk assessments, and collaborate across functions to ensure compliance and efficiency in a high-tech environment.

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Process Engineer (Injection Molding) to join our team at Entegris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah. As a Process Engineer specializing in injection molding, you will play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving operational efficiency. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving injection molding processes to meet our stringent quality standards and production targets. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies and contribute significantly to our operational excellence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and optimise injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency

Conduct process feasibility studies and create detailed process specifications and standard operating procedures

Monitor and analyse production data to identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities

Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to resolve defects and minimise scrap rates

Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure effective process implementation and adherence to specifications

Conduct equipment qualification and validation studies on injection moulding machines

Develop and maintain process documentation, including material specifications, process parameters and control limits

Participate in new product development projects, providing technical expertise during design and prototype phases

Perform risk assessments and failure mode analysis to enhance process robustness and reliability

Support continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies

Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental regulations and health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Materials Science or related engineering discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in injection molding process engineering or manufacturing engineering

Strong knowledge of injection molding technology, equipment, tooling and materials

Solid understanding of polymer materials, processing parameters and their effects on product quality

Experience with process optimisation, quality control and statistical analysis techniques

Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools is highly desirable

Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485

Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred

Ability to document processes clearly and prepare technical reports

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
