Manager, Manufacturing Operations Management

The Role: Manager, Manufacturing Operations Management (Production Manager - Assembly)

The Production Manager - Assembly leads end-to-end assembly manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, stable, and high-quality production in alignment with customer demand and business objectives. This role is accountable for operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while building organizational capability through strong people leadership, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. The position plays a key role in supporting business growth, new product introductions (NPI), product transfers, capacity expansion, and long-term site competitiveness.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage daily assembly operations to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Plan and optimize production resources, including manpower, equipment, tools, fixtures, and materials, to meet customer demand and future capacity requirements.

Drive operational excellence by ensuring efficient production scheduling, line balancing, labor utilization, and equipment effectiveness.

Lead the execution of new product introductions (NPI), product transfers, and process qualifications, ensuring readiness and successful production ramp-up.

Drive product and process quality through disciplined management of CARs, QNs, audit findings, yield improvement initiatives, and defect reduction activities.

Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with company EHS policies, regulatory requirements, and site standards.

Build, develop, and coach assembly teams to sustain high performance and organizational readiness for business growth.

Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) for direct reports and ensure timely execution of development and cross-training plans.

Identify and implement cost reduction, productivity improvement, and capacity enhancement opportunities.

Lead performance reviews, employee development discussions, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.

Foster a Lean Six Sigma culture by driving continuous improvement projects and eliminating non-value-added activities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Maintenance teams to achieve operational and business objectives.

Support digitalization and smart manufacturing initiatives to improve operational visibility, productivity, and decision-making.

What We Seek:

Experience leading high-volume manufacturing operations in a global company, ideally with 10+ years of experience in assembly manufacturing operations.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Demonstrated success in achieving quality, delivery, cost, and safety objectives through strong operational leadership.

Proven experience managing production ramp-ups, capacity expansion, and operational scaling in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Strong knowledge of assembly processes, production systems, manufacturing workflows, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience supporting NPI, product transfers, process validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.

Lean Six Sigma mindset, with a track record of using data-driven decision-making to improve yield, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

Proven manufacturing leader with hands-on experience managing assembly operations and delivering stable, efficient, and safe production in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Strong people developer who builds high-performing teams through coaching, structured training, performance management, and employee engagement.

Operational excellence mindset with demonstrated ability to improve quality, delivery, cost, and productivity through Lean Six Sigma, structured problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.

Quality-focused leader with strong knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, process controls, root cause analysis, risk management, and continuous improvement practices.

Experience leading production ramp-ups, capacity expansions, product transfers, and manufacturing transformations.

Business-focused manager who understands how operational decisions impact customer satisfaction, cost performance, scalability, and long-term manufacturing competitiveness.
