Job summary

City of Shakopee, MN seeks an Engineering Process Specialist to sustain and enhance electronics manufacturing. You will drive improvements in SMT/PCBA processes, collaborate across Operations, R&D, and Quality, and ensure products meet quality and cost targets through data-driven decisions.

You will lead NPI support, design scalable processes, and develop fixtures/tools while applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to daily operations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required.
• 2+ years PCBA/SMT process engineering experience.
• Experience in high mix low volume environments preferred.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
• Lean, root-cause analysis and Six-Sigma DMAIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Sustain, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet quality and cost targets.
• Lead continuous improvement projects (OEE, FPY, TPY, DPMO, on-time delivery).
• Research and evaluate new manufacturing technologies for NPI readiness.
• Design and define sustainable, reproducible processes.
• Collaborate across Operations, R&D, Quality, Planning.
• Develop tools, fixtures and stencils for production lines.
