Job summary

Iotronix in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and optimize PCBA/SMT line processes, focusing on productivity, cost efficiency and quality improvement.

You will design layouts, balance lines, analyze capacity and lead times, collaborate with production, engineering and quality, and perform costing for RFQs within tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in PCBA/SMT or electronics production.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and cost analysis.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, line balancing, capacity planning, and process improvement techniques.
• Ability to analyze production data and perform basic costing calculations using Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively on process improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for PCBA/SMT lines, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Design and implement efficient production layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
• Analyze and improve line balancing, production cycles, and material flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform lead time analysis, motion studies and capacity planning to identify areas for improvement and maximize equipment utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality, to drive continuous process improvements.
• Monitor and analyze production data, providing insights to improve throughput, yield, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Support the setup and launch of production lines in the facility, working closely with the equipment and production teams.
• Complete a costing calculation (customer RFQ) within the time frame. Coordinate and review RFQ costing to ensure pricings are competitive and profitable.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour and overhead associated with projects or products.
