Job summary

Chemlite Industries Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a junior engineer to support engineering documentation, stock control, data entry, and standard operating procedures.

You'll work with engineering teams to maintain ISO forms, collect data, and help implement 5S, with opportunities to learn plating and chemical processing. Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with plating or IETS knowledge have an edge.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in plating, anodizing, chemical processing or surface treatment is an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in IETS (Industrial Effluent Treatment System) and Scheduled Waste Management is an added advantage, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of chemical handling and process control is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with different departments.

Responsibilities

• Labeling and signage in engineering areas as per designated process flow.
• Handle record keeping for spare part and chemical stock including stock card, material request form and incoming material checklist.
• Obtain data for daily titration record from laboratory and key-in into monthly SPC chart. Ensure all SPC charts are updated in server and segregated according to process.
• Collect information required to establish or revise work instruction. Ensure related work instructions are available in each workstation with proper filing.
• Support tasks to establish and revise SOP for engineering department. Ensure all SOPs are available in specified area and well acknowledged by related personnel.
• Establish proper filing for engineering ISO form while maintaining form used is in its’ latest revision and keeping all record up to date.
• Collect data and calculate MTO for plating bath according to requirement.
• Liaise with document controller and other related party for updating documentation.
• Responsible to support the daily 5S implementation in engineering department.
• To carry other ad hoc duties assigned by superior.
