Job summary

Chemlite Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily process operations, coordinate production activities and ensure KPIs are met. You will supervise a team, coordinate with maintenance, QA and engineering, and drive safety, quality and Lean initiatives.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in chemical engineering or equivalent, strong leadership, knowledge of process control, and proficiency with MS Office and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, process operations, or production supervision.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of process control and production systems.
• Understanding of workplace safety regulations and quality standards.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily process operations and production activities.
• Monitor process performance to meet KPIs and standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental and quality regulations.
• Train, mentor and evaluate operators and production personnel.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production and operational records.
• Coordinate with maintenance, QA and engineering teams.
• Conduct shift briefings and communicate updates.
• Ensure proper use of machinery, tools and equipment.
• Support Lean or Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
