Job summary

Fairwork in Seberang Perai, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified engineering professional to establish Work Instructions and documentation for technical reports. You will engage closely with the NPI team for new projects and work on continuous improvement activities.

The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the packing industry, and proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and preferably Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia & preferably Mandarin speaking to communicate with clients.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the relevant field, especially in the packing industry.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To establish Work Instruction (WI), Visual Aid (VA) and Critical Control Point (CCP for all processes.
• Prepare documentation for technical reports.
• Discover areas for continuous improvements.
• Work closely with NPI team for new project launching or new product development.
• Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data (cycle time, material usage, die cut mould traceability).
• Participate and engage in new equipment/machinery set‑up and qualifications.
• Develop plans to improve production, quality, costs and labor required.
• Engage in productivity improvement activities (production efficiency and production output set by Management).
• Engage in quality improvement activities (to achieve quality standards).
• Lead cost reduction initiatives (cost saving activities: process optimization, material and energy savings).
• Troubleshoot problems in the production lines (market claims, QC internal detection) and provide recommendations and training.
• Generate new ideas and solutions to yield improvements.
• Monitor the OEE improvement plan.

Qualifications

• Candiate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia & Prefer Mandarin speaking to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field, especially in Packing industrial.
• Computer literate: MS Office & ERP System.
