Job summary

Pecca Group Berhad in Malaysia seeks a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop, optimize and standardize seat assembly processes, driving cycle time reduction and line balancing to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.

You will analyze and resolve process and equipment issues, validate new layouts and equipment, and implement SOPs to maintain consistency and compliance. The role includes mentoring operators and ensuring safe operations in a leading upholstery manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing or automotive production experience.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in production environments.

• Develop and optimize cycle time, line balancing, and seat assembly processes to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

• Develop, review, and improve SOPs, work instructions, and process standards to ensure consistency and quality compliance.
• Plan and execute process validation for new equipment, materials, products, and production layout changes.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, and other improvement methodologies.
• Monitor key process KPIs and provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Analyze and troubleshoot process, machinery, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Develop, review, and improve SOPs, work instructions, and process standards to ensure consistency and quality compliance.

Plan and execute process validation for new equipment, materials, products, and production layout changes.

Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, and other improvement methodologies.

Monitor key process KPIs and provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or equivalent)

Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in manufacturing or automotive production environment

Knowledge in process improvement, cycle time study, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with hands‑on experience in production processes, machinery, and tooling

Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related systems/software; experience in automation projects is an added advantage
