Job summary

Molex in Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to support new product development and process improvement within the Engineering department and with subcontractors. You will design and optimize production processes, set up lines, and ensure quality throughout the lifecycle.

Reporting to a Process Engineer, you will drive cross-functional projects, perform PFMEA, monitor KPIs, control costs, and introduce new technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production Engineering must be held.
• Experience in process improvement is required.
• Ability to identify directional errors and propose solutions.
• Knowledge of quality systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to take on challenges with initiative and drive.

Responsibilities

• Design production processes and lines; set up process flow and PFMEA.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase yield and meet KPIs.
• Design production processes for new product launches and line qualification.
• Monitor PAR expenses, lead time, capacity, and product quality expectations.
• Support technical documentation of production processes.
• Optimize production costs and reduce COPQ.
• Prepare requisition plans for machines and equipment for new projects.
• Supervise lines during implementation; measure efficiency (OEE/POEE).
• Identify and implement improvements in production and quality.
• Introduce new solutions/technologies in process design.
• Adhere to quality, health, safety and environmental procedures.

The working location is at Local Assembly, Gelang Patah.

Our Team

You will be reporting to Process Engineer.

What You Will Do

• Designing production processes, setting up lines, process flow, material flow, PFMEA.
• Continuous improvement solution on production yield to meet require KPI.
• Designing production processes for new product launch, line qualification, process capability study.
• Ensure project meeting the PAR expenses, lead time, capacity, and product quality expectation.
• Supporting technical documentation of the production processes.
• Optimizing production cost, process improvement and COPQ reduction.
• Preparing a requisition plan for machines, equipment and other production means for new projects
• Supervising the production lines during their implementation, analyzing work on the production lines, measuring the work efficiency, including equipment POEE and OEE performance.
• Identifying and implementing improvement in the production processes which include fault/defect analysis, process, and quality improvement.
• Introduction of new solutions / technologies in the design of production processes.
• Adherence to procedures related to system management of quality, health, safety and environmental.
• Perform work in accordance with the standards of personal and professional integrity as described in the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Acting in accordance to PBM Guiding Principles for the job carry out under his responsibility.
