Job summary

A leading plastics manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking an experienced individual for their plastic injection molding operation. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in this area or a combination of technical education and relevant molding or automation experience. This role involves coordinating mold testing, assisting in assessing subcontractor process capabilities, and managing customer complaints effectively. A diploma or above is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding or a combination of formal technical education and molding or automation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate mold testing and ensure tool conforms to targeted yield and output for smooth mass production run.
  • Work in cross-functional group to coordinate process-related issues including sample build.
  • Assist Toolroom to assess sub-contractor process capabilities.
  • Review and provide CAR report promptly to customers on complaints and monitor quality issues.
  • Provide rework instruction for non-conforming but reworkable products.
  • Initiate prevention measures for product non-conformity through proper documentation.
  • Prepare and review documented procedure prior to release to production.
  • Follow-up specific instructions from Production Manager.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate mold testing and ensure tool conforms to targeted yield and output for smooth mass production run.
  • Work in cross-functional group (APQP) to coordinate all process related issues including sample build.
  • Assist Toolroom to assess sub-contractor in terms of process capabilities analysis.
  • Review and provide CAR report promptly to customers on all customers’ complaints and monitor/follow-up on its quality issues.
  • Provide rework instruction for non-conforming but reworkable products.
  • Initiate prevention measures on recurrence of product non-conformity through proper documentation of OI, process flow, FMEA, etc. and update engineering drawings.
  • Prepare and review documented procedure prior release to production.
  • Follow-up specific instructions as advised by Production Manager from time to time.
