Job summary

Upright Talent in Malaysia is seeking a production process specialist to enhance yield, quality and efficiency across EMS manufacturing. You will monitor equipment performance, drive process improvements and support audits and documentation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Experience in EMS, PCBA or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvement.
• Knowledge of yield analysis and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of production equipment and troubleshooting.
• Background or study in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Improve production processes to meet quality, yield and production targets.
• Monitor equipment performance, machine uptime and process efficiency.
• Monitor daily yield and identify root causes of process issues.
• Provide technical support to production and resolve process-related issues.
• Support engineering builds, process validation and production start-up.
• Monitor UPH and support line balancing to improve efficiency.
• Ensure production processes meet the required quality standards.
• Maintain process documents and engineering records.
• Prepare engineering documents for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with Production on manpower and process requirements.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and spare parts availability.
• Lead technicians in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Review failure analysis reports and rejected unit analysis.
• Monitor rework inventory and reduce outstanding issues.
• Support internal and external quality issues, including RMA.
• Work with vendors to resolve equipment and process issues.
• Prepare reports on yield improvement and process modifications.
• Monitor engineering KPIs and drive process improvement.
• Support technology enhancement and continuous improvement projects.
• Support cybersecurity and ISO 27001 requirements for production equipment.
• Support EMS compliance and environmental initiatives under ISO 14001.

Ideal Candidates
