Job summary

Zurich Insurance in Kuala Lumpur is driving process digitalisation by modernising automation across business processes. You will design, build, and deploy automation using workflow orchestration, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and Python, while collaborating with SMEs and process designers.

Responsibilities include creating reusable patterns, ensuring production readiness, and embedding governance and responsible AI principles.

Qualifications

• Process analysis and automation design, ability to assess workflows and identify digitisation opportunities.
• Define solution components, data flows, APIs/connectors, security controls and reusable blocks.
• Hands-on engineering with automation and low-code platforms and AI-based tools.
• Software fundamentals including Python, version control, CI/CD, and IaC concepts.
• Translate business processes into technical designs and engage stakeholders clearly.
• Governance-aware development with controls, auditability and quality standards.
• Work on transformation programmes while aligning with BAU activities.
• Operate in a large, regulated enterprise with organizational agility and diligence.
• Identify where automation adds real value vs. automation theatre.

What Can You Expect?

The primary purpose of this role is to modernize and automate business processes across IAA reducing manual effort, improving consistency, and enabling teams to focus on higher-value work.

This role reports to the Process Digitalisation - Service Manager.

• Process Automation & Solution Delivery
  • Designing, building, and deploying automation solutions using workflow orchestration tools, low-code platforms (Power Platform, Copilot Studio), scripting (Python), and AI-assisted tooling
  • Translating business process requirements into working technical solutions through collaboration with SMEs and process designers
  • Developing reusable patterns, building blocks, and reference architectures for automation across IAA
  • Ensuring solutions are production-ready: tested, monitored, documented, and maintainable
• Digitisation & Enablement
  • Building and maintaining AI Solutions that enables IAA teams to create business for our clients
  • Contributing to solutions by providing know how and technical knowledge on process digitalisation.
  • Operating as the technical interface between IAA business teams and the technological stakeholde, reducing dependency on central IT for standard automation need
• Governance & Quality
  • Ensuring all automation solutions meet IAA's governance standards and comply with Group Technology & Operations requirements
  • Embedding auditability, documentation, and appropriate human-in-the-loop controls into solution designs by default
  • Maintaining compliance with responsible AI principles where AI-based components are used
  • Ensuring solutions are maintainable, version-controlled, and handover-ready
• Transformation & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Working within projects and cross-functional initiatives to identify, prioritize, and deliver automation and digitisation use cases across IAA
  • Project to BAU - Train IAA staff on automation tools and self-service approaches of built PDS solutions
  • Driving awareness and adoption of digitisation opportunities with business stakeholders alongside the Capability Manager
  • Contributing to IAA's strategic digitisation roadmap by surfacing opportunities, feasibility assessments, and lessons learned from delivery
  • Collaborating with GTO and other functions to align on standards and reuse enterprise capabilities

  • Hands-on engineering/harness engineering with automation and low-code platforms (Power Platform, Copilot Studio, workflow orchestration tools) and AI-based tools (Claude Code, LLM integrations)
  • Software engineering fundamentals (Python, version control, CI/CD, configuration-as-code)
  • Ability to translate business process descriptions into technical solution designs without requiring deep domain expertise
  • Stakeholder engagement - communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences, building trust
  • Governance-aware development - embedding controls, auditability, and quality standards into delivery
  • Project-based working - comfortable operating in transformation programmes alongside BAU
  • Organizational agility - navigating a large, regulated enterprise environment
  • Innovative thinking - identifying where automation and digitisation create genuine value vs. automation theatre
