Job summary

AECOM in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical studies for medium to large-scale infrastructure projects. You will provide technical leadership in design, including foundations, slopes, and underground works, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, a Civil Eng degree (Masters/PhD preferred), and proficiency in PLAXIS or GEO-STUDIO, with knowledge of Eurocode 7 and Malaysian

Qualifications

• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in multidisciplinary coordination.
• BEM Professional Engineer (Ir.) or eligibility for registration will be an advantage.

Job Description

• Lead geotechnical studies, analysis and design for medium to large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university; Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong experience in geotechnical analysis and design for infrastructure, rail, buildings or underground projects.
• Proficient in PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO or equivalent geotechnical software.
• Good knowledge of Eurocode 7, Malaysian standards and relevant design requirements.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with sound engineering judgement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in multidisciplinary coordination.
• BEM Professional Engineer (Ir.) or eligibility for registration will be an advantage.
