Job summary

AECOM in Malaysia seeks a geotechnical engineer to support site investigations and design tasks under supervision. Fresh graduates or those with 1–3 years of experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include geotechnical data gathering, routine calculations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on earthworks, foundations, and retaining structures. Training in PLAXIS and GEO-STUDIO will be provided.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with a strong academic background and keen interest in geotechnical engineering.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant geotechnical experience preferred.
• Experience in geotechnical design, site investigation, foundation engineering, earth retaining systems, or underground works is advantageous.
• Exposure to PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO, or similar software is beneficial.

Job Description

• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices
• Assist in design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules

• Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience will be preferred.
