Job summary

Collinz International School in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Primary Teacher (Mathematics & Science) for a full-time role in Bandar Botanic, Selangor. You will teach mathematics and science to upper primary students, plan lessons, assess progress, and foster a love of learning within an inclusive classroom.

You will differentiate instruction to meet diverse abilities, collaborate with colleagues, and engage with parents to support student development.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with recognised teaching qualification or degree in Education/Math/Science.
• Experience in teaching Upper Primary Mathematics and/or Science.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Primary Teacher (Mathematics & Science) to join Collinz International School. This is a full-time position based in Bandar Botanic, Selangor, where you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for mathematics and science amongst primary school students. As a primary educator, you will be instrumental in building foundational knowledge and critical thinking skills that will support students' academic development and future success.

What you’ll be doing

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in mathematics and science aligned with the curriculum and school standards
• Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes active learning
• Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, tracking development and identifying areas for additional support
• Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those requiring additional intervention or enrichment
• Utilising a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including practical experiments and hands-on activities, to make mathematics and science engaging and accessible
• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, behaviour and academic performance
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, development and any concerns
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop cohesive cross-curricular approaches and contributing to whole-school initiatives
• Supervising students during break times and extracurricular activities as required
• Continuing professional development and staying current with best practices in mathematics and science education

What we’re looking for

• A recognised teaching qualification or Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or a related subject
• Proven track record teaching Upper Primary Mathematics and/or Science.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of primary mathematics and science curricula
• Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create an orderly, respectful and supportive learning environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to young learners
• Passion for education and a genuine commitment to student development and wellbeing
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated instruction to support learners of varying abilities
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous
• Flexibility, creativity and willingness to embrace innovative teaching approaches
