Job summary

Collinz International School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary ICT Teacher to join our education team. This full-time position is based at our Glenmarie, Shah Alam and Bandar Botanic Klang campuses in Selangor, Malaysia, delivering high-quality ICT instruction to secondary students and fostering digital literacy and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate holds a recognised teaching qualification with ICT specialism and a minimum of three years’ secondary ICT or CS teaching

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification with ICT specialism.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience at secondary level in ICT/CS.
• Strong subject knowledge across ICT and related technologies.
• Excellent communication and student engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ICT lessons aligned with the curriculum and international standards.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity in technology usage.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods with constructive feedback.
• Develop and maintain up-to-date teaching materials reflecting current tech trends.
• Support digital citizenship, online safety, and ethical use of technology.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate ICT across cross-curricular projects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ICT labs and classroom technology.
• Engage in professional development to adopt emerging pedagogies.
• Communicate regularly with parents on student progress.
• Lead technology-related initiatives and coding clubs.

Job description

Collinz International School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary ICT Teacher to join our dynamic education team. This is a full-time position based at our campus in Glenmarie, Shah Alam and Bandar Botanic Klang, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Information and Communications Technology (ICT) instruction to secondary-level students, fostering their digital literacy, computational thinking, and technological problem-solving skills. This position is integral to our commitment to providing a comprehensive, modern education that prepares students for success in an increasingly digital world.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging ICT lessons that align with the school curriculum and international standards
• Creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters creativity in technology use
• Assessing student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback to support learning
• Developing and maintaining up-to-date teaching materials, resources, and practical exercises that reflect current technological trends and industry practices
• Supporting students in developing digital citizenship, online safety awareness, and ethical use of technology
• Collaborating with colleagues across departments to integrate ICT skills into cross-curricular projects and initiatives
• Maintaining and troubleshooting classroom technology infrastructure and computer laboratory equipment
• Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with emerging technologies and pedagogical best practices
• Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievement in ICT
• Contributing to the school's wider educational mission through extracurricular activities, coding clubs, or technology-related initiatives

What we're looking for

• A recognised teaching qualification (Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, ICT, or equivalent) or a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with ICT specialism
• Proven minimum 3 years teaching experience at secondary level in ICT or Computer Science
• Strong subject knowledge across key ICT subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds
• Strong classroom management abilities and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to design differentiated lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles
• A passion for continuous professional development and staying abreast of technological advancements in education
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working within a school community
