Job summary

Parkson is seeking a Maintenance Executive to perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical wiring systems and related building equipment across our stores.

You will monitor inspections, coordinate with contractors, ensure compliance with OSHA and privacy regulations, maintain electrical drawings, and uphold safety and reliability of facilities.

This role requires a minimum electrical certificate and Chargeman certification; independence and cost-awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum certificate in electrical.
• Chargeman certification required (A0, A1, A4 or B0 – 11KV).
• Knowledge of basic retail operations.
• Knowledge of Privacy Act, Labour Act and Trade Act.
• Technical knowledge in electrical and general maintenance.
• Able to work independently.
• Good cost control awareness.
• Willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems and related equipment.
• Air conditioning (22–24°C).
• Electrical switchboards (including tripping).
• Alarm systems.
• CCTV systems.
• Fire fighting systems (sprinklers, smoke detectors, hose reels, fire extinguishers).
• PA systems.
• Escalators, travelators and lifts.
• Plumbing and drainage systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance based on the preventive maintenance checklist.
• Monitor and perform monthly and yearly preventive maintenance works.
• Check wiring materials and equipment, troubleshoot electrical faults and carry out repairs.
• Ensure contractors comply with company work guidelines and policies during maintenance and renovation works.
• Liaise with contractors for servicing and repair works and communicate updates to the Store Manager and HQ Maintenance.
• Carry out repair and aesthetic improvement works.
• Document all maintenance work by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
• Ensure all facilities and amenities are properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Manage inventory of bulbs and maintenance accessories.
• Read and record utility meters and inform Store Accounts/HQ Maintenance for debiting purposes.
• Perform operational duties when required.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as OSHA, Privacy Act and other relevant regulations.
• Maintain a valid electrician's licence or identification card in accordance with governmental regulations.
• Safeguard and maintain the store's electrical drawings.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
