Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ipoh, Malaysia to perform preventive maintenance on Front of Line production equipment. The role requires inspecting, testing, and calibrating machines to ensure reliability, plus recording maintenance data and updating equipment history.

You will collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and improve uptime. The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with 1+

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least one year of equipment or maintenance experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting and testing production equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber-optic handling and OTDR is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in a preventive maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Front of Line equipment.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and test machines.
• Monitor machine conditions and identify abnormal wear or failure signs.
• Record maintenance results and update equipment history.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping in maintenance areas.
