Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Penang is seeking a Test Maintenance Technician to sustain tester performance, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement across Y production lines.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering with at least 1 year in equipment maintenance or testing, and entails adherence to Safety, ESD and ISO standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering or relevant.
• At least 1 year of Equipment Maintenance/Testing experience.
• Candidates without experience may be considered by the hiring manager under certain conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tester operation minimizes downtime.
• Conduct periodic design verification (DV) of testers.
• Improve test setup ergonomics and efficiency via elimination & automation.
• Support test yield and testability improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, Cleanroom and housekeeping guidelines.
• SPC monitoring of tester performance.
• Practice Risk-Based Thinking in planning and execution.
• Authorized to stop any tester if quality or safety issues arise.
• Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
