Job summary

A Star Kids Childcare Centre in Kuala Lumpur is seeking dedicated Preschool and Childcare Teachers to create meaningful learning experiences for young children. You will plan and conduct engaging activities, foster a safe and nurturing classroom, and support children as they learn, grow and discover the world around them.

Ideal candidates are caring, energetic, and enthusiastic, with strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Loves and enjoys working with young children.
• Caring, patient, responsible and enthusiastic.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to communicate in at least two languages from English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and conduct engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Support children's learning, development and daily routines.
• Observe and guide each child with patience, care and encouragement.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organisation and appearance.
• Build positive relationships and communicate with parents.
• Work with other teachers to implement daily routines and centre programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and conduct engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities according to the centre’s standards
• Create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment
• Support children’s learning, development and daily routines
• Observe and guide each child with patience, care and encouragement
• Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and appearance of the classroom
• Take good care of teaching materials and classroom resources
• Build positive relationships and maintain good communication with parents
• Work closely with other teachers to carry out daily routines, activities and centre programmes

Who We Are Looking For

• Loves and enjoys working with young children
• Caring, patient, responsible and enthusiastic
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate in at least two of the following languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia
• Experience in preschool education or childcare is an advantage
