We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Daycare Teacher to join our childcare facility in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where young children can learn, develop and thrive. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for facilitating early childhood development through carefully planned activities, fostering social skills, and building strong foundations for lifelong learning. This position is essential to our mission of providing quality childcare and education to families in our community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement 7-12 year old appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
• Supervise and safeguard children at all times, ensuring a clean, safe and secure learning environment
• Establish positive relationships with each child, responding to their individual needs, interests and developmental stages
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behaviour and developmental milestones
• Manage daily routines including meal times, rest periods, toilet training and personal hygiene practices
• Support children's emotional wellbeing and help them develop social skills, independence and self-confidence
• Maintain accurate records and observations of each child's development and learning progress
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent care standards and support across the facility
• Adhere to health, safety and childcare regulations and policies at all times

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in early childhood education, childcare or a related field (such as a Diploma or Certificate in Childcare)
• Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, nursery or educational setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents and colleagues
• Strong patience, compassion and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
• Ability to plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
• Sound knowledge of child development milestones and early childhood education principles
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, hygiene and safety
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced childcare environment
• Current first aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
