Job summary

Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Engineer to craft technically robust tender submissions and design enterprise IT solutions across servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.

You will collaborate with Business Development, Technical Sourcing, and Cost Estimation teams to translate requirements into compelling proposal narratives and ensure compliance with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Cloud Computing.

Responsibilities

• Attend tender briefings and site visits.
• Review RFI, RFP, RFQ, and tender documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Cross-reference tender requirements to ensure all mandatory criteria are met.
• Prepare technical compliance statements and tender response documents.
• Develop technical proposals, solution write-ups, and supporting documentation.
• Analyse customer business and technical requirements.
• Design enterprise solutions involving servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Prepare system architecture, infrastructure, network, and solution diagrams.
• Develop hardware sizing and BOM.
• Translate technical designs into clear, customer-focused proposal narratives.
• Map business requirements to system functionalities and technical solutions.
• Recommend products and technologies that align with project objectives and budget requirements.
• Conduct product evaluations, comparisons, and technical assessments.
• Support product demonstrations, workshops, and POC activities.
• Work closely with Sales, Technical Sourcing, and Cost Estimation teams during tender preparation.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and technology partners for technical information and solutions.
• Support technical clarification meetings with customers and consultants.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Engineer with strong experience in tendering, solution design, enterprise IT infrastructure, and proposal development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development, Technical Sourcing, and Cost Estimation teams to develop technical solutions and tender submissions that meet customer requirements and maximize tender win rates.

Key Responsibilities

Attend tender briefings and site visits.

Review RFI, RFP, RFQ, and tender documents to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Cloud Computing

Experience in software development or systems analysis will be an added advantage.
